The SEO Pros — theseopros.ca

Terms of Service

Effective date: March 23, 2026  ·  Canada
These terms apply to anyone who uses theseopros.ca or hires The SEO Pros to provide digital marketing services. By working with us or using our website, you’re agreeing to what’s written here. If something isn’t clear, email us at info@theseopros.ca before you sign anything — we’d rather answer a question upfront than sort out a misunderstanding later.

01 Who These Terms Cover

These Terms of Service apply to anyone who visits theseopros.ca or purchases services from The SEO Pros (“we”, “us”, “our”). Using our website or hiring us means you’ve read these terms and you’re okay with them.

The SEO Pros is a Canadian digital marketing agency. We offer SEO, local SEO, social media marketing, pay-per-click advertising, content writing, and website design to businesses across Canada.

02 What We Do

The specific services you’re getting are laid out in the proposal or order confirmation we send you. That document governs your engagement alongside these terms.

SEO is not static. What Google rewards changes, sometimes overnight. So while the goal we’ve agreed on stays fixed, the tactics we use to get there may shift as the landscape changes. We’ll always tell you what we’re doing and why — you won’t be in the dark.

03 No Ranking Guarantees

We don’t guarantee specific rankings on Google or any other search engine. No legitimate agency does. Google’s algorithm is Google’s — not ours, not anyone else’s.

We have helped hundreds of Canadian businesses reach page one. Most clients see real ranking improvements between three and six months in. But timelines depend on your industry, your competition, your site’s starting condition, and things outside our control — including Google updates that can move everyone on a given day.

If someone is promising you a guaranteed #1 ranking, they’re either overselling or planning to use shortcuts that will eventually get your site penalized. We don’t do either.

What we do guarantee: we apply proven, ethical SEO practices consistently, we report to you honestly every month, and we tell you when something isn’t working instead of hiding it in a slide deck.

04 What We Need From You

Good SEO is a two-way street. We can’t do our job properly without a few things on your end:

  • Access to your website, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and any other platforms we need to do the work
  • Accurate information about your business — what you do, where you operate, who your customers are
  • Content reviews and approvals within the timeframes we specify per project
  • Invoices paid on time
  • A heads-up if anything major changes on your end — new services, a site redesign, a rebrand — anything that could affect what we’re building
  • Keeping your login credentials secure, and letting us know immediately if anything is compromised

If approvals get delayed or access isn’t provided, it affects timelines. We’re not able to take responsibility for delays that come from your side.

05 Payments and Billing

Monthly services are billed at the start of each billing cycle. One-time projects — website builds, PPC packages — are billed as set out in your proposal. This is usually a deposit upfront and the remaining balance before we hand over the final deliverable.

Invoices are due within 7 days of the invoice date unless we’ve agreed to something different in writing. If an account goes past due, work may be paused until it’s current.

All pricing is in Canadian dollars. GST/HST is added where required by law.

We don’t refund work already completed or the current billing cycle once it’s started. If you want to cancel, see Section 7.

06 Ownership of Work

Once you’ve paid in full, the content, copy, and creative assets we produced for your campaign are yours. Full stop.

The strategies, processes, templates, and internal systems we use to deliver results — those stay ours. You’re paying for the outcome, not the blueprint.

We may reference your results in case studies or portfolio materials using anonymized data (percentages, general industry, timeframes). We won’t name your business publicly without your written permission.

07 Cancellation

Monthly services need 30 days written notice to cancel. You’re responsible for the current billing cycle — we won’t charge for the following month once proper notice is received.

Cancelling a PPC campaign mid-run doesn’t entitle you to a refund of the management fee. Any unspent ad budget is returned to you.

For website projects, if you cancel before we finish, you’ll be billed for completed work at our standard hourly rate. That total won’t exceed the full project price.

08 Limitation of Liability

We’re not liable for:

  • Ranking changes caused by Google algorithm updates, search engine penalties, or changes you or a third party made to your website outside of our work
  • Lost business or revenue resulting from changes in search rankings
  • Outages or changes at third-party platforms — Google Ads, Meta, and so on
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from our services

In any situation where we are liable, our total responsibility to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the event in question.

09 Confidentiality

We treat your business information, strategy, and data as confidential. It stays within our team except where sharing is necessary to deliver your services — for example, granting platform access to a tool we use to manage your account.

We ask the same from you. Our proposals, strategies, pricing structures, and internal documents are confidential and shouldn’t be shared with third parties.

10 Using Our Website

Theseopros.ca is here for one purpose: to help you learn about our services and get in touch. It isn’t here to be scraped, stress-tested, or exploited. Don’t use the site in any way that disrupts it for other users or that we haven’t authorized.

11 Third-Party Tools and Platforms

We use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and various SEO platforms to deliver our services. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms — we’re not responsible for changes to pricing, availability, or functionality at those services, or for algorithm changes at Google.

12 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be handled in Ontario courts, and both parties agree to that jurisdiction.

13 Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms when needed. If the changes are material, we’ll post the new version here with an updated effective date. Continuing to use our services after that means you accept what’s changed.

14 Contact Us

Questions about these terms? Reach out before things get complicated — we’re a real team and we’d rather sort things out in plain conversation.
